Rafters running the Nantahala Falls. Please be patient as the video may take time to load. Enjoy!

Enjoy it your way!

Enjoy the Nantahala River whichever way you choose:

Guided: Guided boats have an experienced employee who is familiar with the river and is CPR/First Aid certified. Brookside guides will do their best to keep you safe, while also enjoying the excitement and fun of the river.

Guided Assisted: Guide assisted trips offer a guide for every two to three boats.

Rental: Rental boats are for the more adventurous or experienced rafters. Brookside provides transportation, but you are traveling down the river "on your own!" Before the trip, you will receive instructions on how to successfully run the river.

Heads up - you’re going to get wet!

It’s recommended that you bring a change of clothes and an extra towel. Changing rooms and hot showers available.

Brookside Provides:

  • Life jackets

  • Paddles

  • Transportation to and from the river

  • Instruction

  • Friendly service
